Apple Set To Reveal New iPod, MacBooks Next Month
August 7, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - According to reports, Apple is set to hold a special event in September yet again to show off their new iPod and Mac notebook lines.
Apple has been doing this for the past 3 years now, using a special September event to tout new products going into the major holiday shopping season.
Over the past years, it has worked tremendously well as shares have increased by over 40% from the week before the event to the four-months after.
Apple is expected to focus on pushing its iPod products in a big way, by showing off new iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle designs.
It is also believed that the current iPod Touch will receive a price drop, bringing it down to the more mass market level of $199.
Going beyond that, it is believed that Apple is set to show off new MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks, with the possible announcement of a $999 MacBook.
