Review

If you own a nice iPod or iPhone, you want to get the most out of it that you can.  Thankfully, many iHome products have been released to try and take advantage of these great devices, with our focus today being on the iHome iP9 Dual Alarm Clock Radio.

The iHome iP9 Dual Alarm Clock Radio works with the iPhone as well as the iPod.  The product is compatible thanks to the fact that it comes with a universal dock that will fit your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPhone Nano, etc.

On top of that, while it plays it will also charge your iPod or iPhone at the same time, meaning you will not have to plug it in each and every night.

The device comes with the iHome iP9 itself, remote control, AC power adapter, as well as docking inserts to fit your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPod Nano.

The first thing that I really liked about the device was that it will work with just about any generation of iPod, so if you have an older iPod you can probably pop that on here as well.

The other really nice bonus are the speakers, which have some amazing sound quality to them.  Taking into account the price and the size of the product, these speakers can really rock.  They do a great job of presenting clear audio and handle all types of music well.

The other big factor to this product is the dual alarms that are featured in it.  These dual alarms are great if you wake up at different times during different days.  You can set one alarm clock to go off during your weekday hours, then another alarm for the weekend.

This keeps you from having to change your alarm setting every single time.  In terms of the alarm clock itself, you can have it play your iPhone or iPod, as well as the AM/FM radio, or a buzzer.

You also have the ability, which I liked a lot, for gradual wake or sleep, meaning the alarm will gradually get louder when it goes off so it does not startle you first thing in the morning.  You even have the ability to turn down the brightness of the backlight in the LCD display for night time.

The balance controls for the audio, as well as the bass, treble, and 3D controls make for a nice level of power over the audio being pumped out as well.

The iHome iP9 is a fantastic product for any iPhone or iPod owner, and has a price point that will certainly appeal to the masses.  Just doing a quick search online, we were able to find this in a few places for under $100.  Whether you want to turn your iPhone or iPod into an alarm clock, or just want a great docking station with some high-quality audio, this is a fantastic buy!

Overall Score: 9.0  dbTechno Highly Recommended!
