BlackBerry Manages To Beat Out Apple iPhone In U.S. Sales
May 5, 2009
Washington (dbTechno) - Research In Motion (RIM) continues their hot streak as of late as it has been announced that theĀ BlackBerry Curve has managed to outsell the Apple iPhone thus far in 2009.
The first quarter of 2009 belonged to the BlackBerry Curve, as it managed to beat out the iPhone in U.S. sales according to reports.
Research In Motion has to be very happy about this as there has been a lot of pressure on the company to keep hold of the smartphone market with the BlackBerry line.
This makes the BlackBerry Curve the best selling smartphone in the U.S.
BlackBerry is far from done though, as this is one of three smartphones that are in the top five among sales in the U.S.
The BlackBerry Storm and the BlackBerry Pearl continue to enjoy a great deal of success in their own right.
Apple is not yet done as it is expected they will announce the new iPhone this June.
RIM is expected to counter with a second version of the BlackBerry Storm.
