Sprint and Palm have officially announced that the Palm Pre is going to release on June 6th.

The phone is going to come wit h a price tag of $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, and a two-year contract.

The two-year contract will need to be on Sprint’s Everything Data plan, or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan.

The Palm Pre is a highly-anticipated phone that will be Web OS based.

The hope is that it will be able to go toe to toe with the new Apple iPhone, which will likely be announced just two days after the release of the Palm Pre.

The iPhone announcement is set to be revealed at the Apple WWDC on June 8th.
