Facebook Goes Mobile On BlackBerry Devices

Research in Motion made the announcement on Wednesday that new software they have released will allow for Facebook to be easily used on BlackBerry devicesBoston (dbTechno) - Research in Motion made the announcement on Wednesday that new software they have released will allow for Facebook to be easily used on BlackBerry devices.

The software applications is called Facebook for BlackBerry and will use many of the powers of the BlackBerry to make Facebook work on a mobile device like never before.

Users will be able to have instant mobile access to the social-networking features of Facebook right through the e-mail capabilities of BlackBerry.

The new software will allow for streamlined and optimized mobile access to Facebook using a BlackBerry. This streamlined content will be fast-loading and will allow user sto send and view Facebook photos, pokes, and wall posts right over the network.

“Facebook is one of the fastest growing web destinations among BlackBerry smartphone users and it has become an important element in the evolving fabric of personal communications,” Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO at Research In Motion, said.

The first carrier un the U.S. to provide the new Facebook software will be T-Mobile, it will come as a free download.
