3G iPhone To Be Sold To AT&T Customers For Only $199
April 29, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Rumors continue to circulate about the upcoming launch of the Apple 3G iPhone, intended for the AT&T network. The most recent reports state that the 3G iPhone will start at the low price point of only $199.
Fortune has stated that AT&T will have a new subsidizing program for customers.
This will mean that the cost of new phones will be dropped by $200, dropping the price of the 3G iPhone down to $199 for the 8GB model, and $299 for the 16GB model.
This deal is only going to be available for AT&T customers who sign up for a two-year contract.
AT&T is expected to make the money back in the long-run with montly bills from customers.
The 3G iPhone is still expected to launch to the public in late June, around the time when Apple will launch iPhone firmware update 2.0, which will add applications, games, and more to the iPhone.
