iPhone To Be Sold Through Both Vodafone, Telecom Italia In Italy

Washington (dbTechno) - Apple Inc. is no longer going to sell their iPhone exclusively it appears as two different carriers have come out and stated they will be selling the iPhone in Italy this year. The two companies include Telecom Italia, and Vodafone.
Telecom Italia and Vodafone both claim to be planning to sell the Apple iPhone before the end of 2008.
The first announcement came from Vodafone, who stated that they will sell the iPhone in Italy, as well as nine other countries.
Telecom Italia later announced they will also sell the iPhone in Italy.
Telecom Italia put out a statement saying “Telecom Italia announcs today that it has signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Italy within the year.”
This means that the iPhone is no longer going to be sold through exclusive agreements it seems.
There is no word as of yet as to how this will impact the upcoming 3G version of the iPhone, if at all.
