America Movil Bringing Apple iPhone To Latin America

Boston (dbTechno) - According to reports, America Movil has signed a deal to bring the Apple iPhone to Latin America before the end of 2008.

America Movil is the largest cell phone operator in Latin America, and can now add the iPhone to its line-up.

The announcement did not state whether or not the deal was an exclusive one, or what type of terms and business model they have to abide by with Apple and the selling of the iPhone.

America Movil operates in 16 countries in the Caribbean, and Latin America.

It has around 160 million cell phone subscribers.

There is no word on whether this deal could be similar to what has been set up in Italy, with more than one carrier selling the phone, of it will be exclusive. We will have to wait and see how it turns out.
