Apple Having Hard Time Keeping Up With iPhone 3G Demand
July 21, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - To this point, it appears that Apple is having a hard time keeping up with the demand of the new iPhone 3G in the U.S., as the device has been unavailable pretty much since launch day in the majority of its stores.
AT&T sold out of the iPhone 3G in several locations on launch day, and since then the tidal wave of sales has continues.
Reports state that it is going to take 3-weeks before Apple is able to fill their retail stores with new stock of the device.
Apple announced after the first weekend that 1 million iPhone 3G devices have been sold, with earnings being reported at around $350 million in the first weekend.
The U.S. is not alone either, as the sell-outs have been seen across the UK as well.
