Apple Working To Fix Signal Problems With The iPhone 3G
August 15, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Apple is reportedly working around the clock trying to fix major singal problems with their iPhone 3G. This comes as many consumers have sent in complaints, reporting lost signals, dropped calls, and poor connections over the AT&T 3G network.
According to reports, the big problems with the iPhone 3G revolve around a communications chip inside the phone itself.
Apple is reportedly working on a software upgrade, which they believe will be able to fix all of the problems.
The chip, according to reports, was made by Infineon Technologies.
The software on the chip itself is likely what is causing all of these dropped calls, and instances of lost signals.
The problems take place when the iPhone 3G switches from the 3G network, to 2G, or vice versa.
This has left many iPhone 3G owners unable to receive any speed benefit from the AT&T 3G network.
Apple is working on a fix, and we will have more as it releases.
