1.5 Million People Have Pre-Ordered G1 Android Phone
October 13, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - According to T-Mobile, 1.5 million people have already pre-ordered the G1 Android phone.
T-Mobile and Google officially presented the first Good Android phone back in September.
Since then, the countdown was on as consumers have been eagerly awaiting release day, October 22nd.
As part of a bonus to current subscribers, T-Mobile has allowed those to pre-order the phone.
To this point, there have been 1.5 million phones pre-ordered, with 10 days still left until launch day.
This number is three times the number of phones originally ordered by the manufacturer of the G1, HTC.
This is pretty impressive as it took Apple 75 days to sell 1 million iPhones when the device first launched.
