RIM continues to be a very strong company with their mobile phone business, as the BlackBerry remains a major player.

The BlackBerry makers though expect revenues for the fiscal quarter to come up short.

The expectation is that they will be 9% below forecasts, coming in at around $2.75 billion.

In regards to new subscriber accounts, BlackBerry is falling short as well as they expected 2.9 million new accounts, but will end up with around 2.6 million.

RIM has been enjoying a great deal of success with the BlackBerry for a very long time, but is being met with some new competition in the form of the Apple iPhone, which continues to do very well in the smartphone market.
