Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is has proven to be a very interesting show. To be honest, I was not sure what to expect going into it. After viewing it though, I now understand why it is the highest rated series on the BET Network, as the reality show is entertaining.

The popular reality show looks into the dysfunctional family life of R&B diva Keyshia Cole.

The show is so entertaining simply because of the fact that it is so bad. Think of I Love New York, Tila Tequila, and all of those other shows, and then go down even a few more steps.

You see some whacked out family members, children, etc.

You also get to meet her alcoholic sister Neffe and her three young daughters.

The show goes on with many things panning out throughout the second season, such as Keyshia trying to deal with herself before the rest of her family, and more. It is not a tremendous television show, but it is entertaining just to see this dysfunctional family in action.

Fans will enjoy the deleted scenes as well as two featurettes included in the DVD release called Frankie Reveals and Meet Keyshia’s Glam Squad.

Both of the features give more insight into the whacked out characters you get to see all season on the show.

Video and audio quality is really null and void here as everything is pretty standard.

Overall though, fans of reality television shows such as I Love New York and others may get some entertainment out of this, just for the whacked out entertainment it pumps out in every episode.

Episodes: 8.0 To make a good reality TV show, you usually need some great characters, and this show certainly has its fair share, as Keyshia certainly has a dysfunctional family.

Video: 7.0 Decent clear video transfer, just as it looked on TV.

Audio: 7.0 Very standard audio, nothing special but it works.

Special Features: 7.0 The deleted scenes are a good bonus, and the two features will be enjoyed by fans.

Final Score: 7.5
