G-Force
Blu-ray Review
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
Released: December 2009
G-Force stormed theaters as a highly-entertaining CG movie from Disney that features guinea pigs who were out to save the world. This enjoyable film has hit retail stores in a value-packed 3-disc combo.
The combo release from Disney features G-Force, on Blu-ray, DVD, as well as in Digital Copy format. What this means is that you can purchase one copy of the film at a very reasonable price, and own it in just about any format you would desire.
G-Force was a very entertaining film to say the very least, as it is based around guinea pigs who have to go to amazing lengths to save the world as we know it.
Disney has had a lot of success putting animals in feature-films such as this, a perfect example are the spin-offs of Air Bud, and that continues here.
There are some great wise-cracks throughout as this is one that will entertain kids and adults.
The film looks fantastic on the Blu-ray format with a superb video presentation. The CG looks amazing and the colors are extremely crisp and vibrant.
Audio is equally as impressive, making great use of the front and rear channels throughout to put together a nice atmosphere.
The extras are a bit underwhelming though, with the most value coming from the audio commentary included.
Beyond that you get your usual fare of behind-the-scenes stuff, bloopers, etc.
G-Force is well-worth picking up as this combo pack includes great value. The film is not perfect, but it is certainly entertaining and would make for a great holiday gift!
Film: 7.8
Video: 9.2
Audio: 9.5
Extras: 7.5
Final Score: 8.4
