Kyle XY The Final Season
DVD Review
ABC Studios
Released: December 2009
Kyle XY has proven to be a very entertaining ABC Family series, and has now seen its final season release on the DVD format.
The show follows a teenage boy (Matt Dallas) who wakes up in the woods naked, and has some extremely unusual powers.
The show spent a few seasons answering questions about the boy, his world, and his overall purpose.
The whole science fiction premise here proved extremely successful as the show was very entertaining throughout its 3 seasons.
I liked the idea of this one only going for 3 seasons as well, as it accomplished all that it could and went out before it got really stale. Fans will surely enjoy the final season of Kyle XY.
The DVD release is presented in 1.78:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.
The audio and video are both crisp and clear throughout, with extremely consistent tracks.
As for the extras, you get a nice audio commentary as well as some deleted scenes from the show.
There is also a fan’s guide which reveals a lot about the future of the two big stars of the show, well-worth checking out.
Kyle XY The Final Season went out at the right time, as this last season is entertaining and well-worth a pick-up this holiday season.
