Scientists On Verge Of Finding The “God Particle”

He first argued this theory, also known as “Higgs Boson” 40 years ago.

Prof. Peter Higgs, 78, has stated that he is confident the “God Particle” or “Higgs Boson” will be found very soon.

He has stated that once a vast particle collider at a research center on the border between France and Spain is finished and begins tests in 2009, it is likely it will be found.

He first suggested 40-years ago that a force is out there that makes all life possible.

He stated that proof is now as close to a reality as ever.

The $2 billion Large Hadron Collider has been under construction since 2003 and is expected to start operating in June at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics.

He is hoping to have confirmation of his theory by the time he turns 80-years old in May 2009.

He told reporters that if this does not happen, he will simply have to ask his GP to keep him alive longer.
