Large Hadron Collider Turns On Tomorrow, Despite Threats
September 9, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - Despite all of the threats that have been surrounding it, European scientists are set to turn on the Large Hadron Collider tomorrow.
The Large Hadron Collider is part of a $10 billion project, which aims to reveal a great deal of new information in the field of particle physics.
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is going to power up on Wednesday for the first time, but many fear that it will mean the end of the world.
The reality though is that instead of it resulting in the end of the world, it may actually open up the eyes of scientists to a whole new world.
The LHC is located at the European Organization for Nuclear Research’s facility (CERN).
The project is going to try and re-create what took place during the Big Bang, which started the universe.
CERN is the world’s leading laboratory for particle physics, and includes the support of several countries.
