Boston (dbTechno) – According to scientists, the effects of global warming on our climate are much more severe than once thought.
Professor Chris Field, who is an expert when it comes to studying global warming, says that over the next century, the climate will drastically change for the worse, resulting in tremendous temperatures that according to him, “will be beyond anything” predicted to date.
Global warming will greatly impact the environment, largely because of toxic greenhouse gases which will kill all vegetable life, stifle wildlife, and make it hard for us humans to thrive.
The increase in global warming will also increase the risk of forest fires due to rain forests drying out, and will accelerate the melting of the permafrost, increasing the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.
“We are basically looking now at a future climate that is beyond anything that we’ve considered seriously in climate policy,” said Field.
Field is the author of a stunning report published back in 2007 based on climate change, so he knows what he is talking about when it comes to the dangers that are present with accelerated global warming.
He says that over the next century, we can expect average temperatures to increase between 1C and just over 6C, a sharp increase which will take a brutal toll on our environment.
