Let’s face it, no matter how young or old we are, science is always cool. For those of you out there looking for a fun little science gadget to check out and play around with, take a look at this one, the Aquapod Bottle Launcher from Great American Projects.
The Aquapod is a one-piece plastic bottle launcher that will take a 2-liter plastic bottle and launch it up to 100-feet in the air, with minimal work required.
All you need to get this thing to work is to have the Aquapod, which retails for the reasonable price point of $24.99, and have a plastic bottle laying around, which almost everyone will have.
The design of the Aquapod is both simple, yet very innovative at the same time. It requires no assembly, and will be ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box.
It’s orange design is decorated nicely to give it that cool-factor that a gadget such as this surely needs.
It is shaped to have the plastic bottle go upside down on top of it. The plastic bottle needs to be filled roughly one-third of the way.
Once it is in place, you hook it down with a plastic lever that goes over the bottle’s mouth.
From here, you drag the rope which is attached to that plastic lever to stand a safe distance away.
Next, you need to hook it up to a bicycle pump, and after 10-15 pumps, you pull the string and watch it fly.
As stated, this is a very cool and innovative gadget that works just as advertised. It is a lot of fun to experiment with different pump levels, different amounts of water, etc.
The product is designed so that if you put too much air and such, it will release some so that you don’t break the well-designed plastic frame either, a bonus for those who want to play around a bit with it.
Since this is the holiday season, this would definitely be a fun gadget for any young science fan out there, and would also make for a good prop for a science experiment in a school, or even as a toy for us adults out there who still love this sort of stuff. At this price point, it is hard not to recommend this fun and innovative product this holiday season. Check out the Aquapod at www.theaquapod.com.
