Cyber Monday 2015 Walmart
Cyber Monday is so last year. Instead, in an attempt to one-up the competition, Walmart is doing doing Cyber Sunday.
The massvie retailer announced on Monday that it will offer its 2,000 Cyber Monday deals on Sunday. Offers will go live at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 29.
So why make the change? You’l love this:
“As faster Internet spread to more homes and smartphones, consumers began staying awake past midnight Sunday to access the best specials as they came online,” the company said in a statement. “Walmart’s earlier start time breaks with that ‘tired’ tradition and reflects a commitment to make shopping easier for customers without asking them to stay up into the wee hours or checking online every few minutes on Monday.”
Of course, the company is convered about sales. Walmart said Google searches for Cyber Monday start to take off on Sunday evening, so this lets it get ahead of the trend.
Among the Cyber Monday deals expected at Walmart is a 65-inch LG 4K television for $799, down $500, and Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 for $599, a $200 discount. Walmart is also promising free shipping on orders of $50 or more.
If you’re busy on Sunday night AND Monday during the day, don’t worry. Deals will actually continue through Friday, Dec. 4. More details about expected deals for “Cyber Week” are expected before Cyber Monday.
