The area of Mars famous for its amazing honeycomb like formations. But a Alien expert has asserted the area named ‘Noctis Labyrinthyus’ (translated to Labrinth of the night), could be home to more than the boulders or sand dunes found there. And could be an alien city.

NASA has shared an image taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The image shows the region between Valles Marinerisan the Tharsis upland. NASA has put forward a theory that the honeycomb formations are a result of sedimentary deposits being shifted as the area erodes. Others suggest it is a ventilation roof if an underground city built by aliens.

Noctis Labyrinthyus, which translates to ‘the labyrinth of the night is located in the Phoenicis Lacus quadrangle of Mars and has fascinated scientists with its maze-like system of deep walled valleys. TheMars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which has been circling the red planet, capturing pictures using its High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera, since 2006.

Researchers have theorised that the formations were a result of faulting, but Scott C. Warning believes they were built by   aliens.

The aerial images show some views of the formations that look like eroded domes, surrounded by round rings. The ring and cone structures were spotted on Elysium Planitia, a plain near the Martian equator.

The video is titled ‘Nasa Spots Walled Cities on Mars from MRO Satellite’, and implies Nasa has claimed these structures are walled cities.

There are structures similar to these all over certain areas in South Africa,’ one user said. ‘I firmly believe Mars still has some remnants of it’s civilization living underground,’ said another. While others put it down to natural geological processes.
