May 19, 2008
Washington (dbTechno) - The Russian cargo spacecraft known as the Progress M-64 managed to successfully dock with the International Space Station.
The Russian cargo spacecraft delivered much-needed items to the crew up at the ISS, including water and food.
This is the 29th cargo mission to head up to the International Space Station.
The craft was unmanned and was launched on a Soyuz rocket last Wednesday.
The cargo spacecraft was carrying nearly 5,000 pounds of supplies, including nearly 3,000 pounds of spare parts.
NASA deemed the mission as an immense success as they now look forward to the next space shuttle launch, as Discovery is set to blast off on May 31 from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
