Hubble Space Telescope Reaches 100,000 Orbits Around Earth

Boston (dbTechno) - The Hubble Space Telescope has made history as it has managed to successfully complete 100,000 orbits around the Earth.
The Hubble Space Telescope launched back in April 1990, and has been going ever since.
It has been traveling around Earth at a speed of 5 miles per second since it has launched, and to date has managed to completely orbit Earth 100,000 times.
Reports state that the odometer on the Hubble Space Telescope is now at 2.72 billion miles, and still ticking.
This comes as NASA is set to make their final service mission to the Hubble Space Telescope this fall. With that, it is expected that it will still continue to function until atl east 2013.
