They now plan to test launch their Orion spacecraft in 2014 at the very earliest.

NASA made the public announcement this week, stating that they are not going to be able to make their original 2013 date for a test launch.

They now plan to have the first test launch of a manned Orion spacecraft in the year 2015.

NASA has been pushing to try and keep the time between the final shuttle flight,a nd the first Orion flight small, but may not be able to do that.

The current space shuttle fleet is set to retire in 2010, and NASA hopes that by that time they can complete construction of the International Space Station.

This will allow them to spend more of their budget on the Orion program, and getting that off the ground.

Technical problems have reportedly caused the delay thus far, while NASA still hopes now that by 2014, they will be off the ground.
