November 24, 2009

Boston (DbTechNo) - After performing 3 space walks at the International Space Station, Atlantis astronauts are preparing to return home.
The crew is preparing to exit the ISS this afternoon and undock to begin the long voyage back to earth.
Atlantis is scheduled to undock from the ISS early on Wednesday and if all goes well will touch down to earth on Friday.
Astronaut Randolph Bresnik will be especially happy to return to earth, as his wife gave birth to a daughter over the weekend.
“We’ve been training long and hard for this mission. We know that the baby’s been coming, so it was easy to go ahead and do our tasks,” he said.
Astronaut Nicole Stott will also be happy to return to earth, after spending the last 3 months onboard the ISS.
