Microsoft Offering Free Support For Vista SP1 Woes
March 24, 2008
Boston (dbTechno) - Microsoft has announced that they will be offering free support to anyone who is having trouble installing Windows Vista SP1. Vista SP1 released about a week ago, and has already been receiving mixed reactions due to several issues consumers have been having.
Microsoft is responding to consumer reports that the new Vista SP1 is flawed on many systems.
They have stated they will offer free support to anyone who needs it and is having trouble with the install of SP1.
Microsoft confirmed they will offer support to all who either purchased a copy of Windows, or purchased a laptop that came with Windows.
Reports from many inside the industry have been coming out and stating that it mey be best to wait before installing Vista SP1.
This is because of many driver problems and such that have been popping up.
This is a bit disappointing however, as one of the big fixes in Vista SP1 included more driver support.
Brandon LeBlanc stated on the Microsoft company blog that “We are offering free-of-charge support to anyone who is having issues installing Windows Vista SP1.”
So if you are having problems, I guess the best thing to do is to take Microsoft up on their offer and give them a call.
