Increase In Number Of HIV Cases Plague Porn Industry

June 13, 2009

There has been a sudden spike in the number of HIV cases within the porn industry, causing major concern over its safety.Washington (dbTechno) - There has been a sudden spike in the number of HIV cases within the porn industry, causing major concern over its safety.

The adult movie industry has always been the center of a lot of negative press, and is now taking a beating with the news that many HIV infections have hit the stars of the industry.

The porn industry is worth over $10 billion and is a huge money-maker, but this move could lead to some new sanctions for it, including new health regulations to follow to keep the actors safe.

The news was first released by The Los Angeles Times, which reported that a porn actress tested positive for HIV, which leads to AIDS.

Los Angeles County Health officials have stated that in total, there are at least 16 unpublicized cases among stars within the industry.

This is not the first time that HIV cases have hit the industry, as many porn actors tested positive back in the year 2004.

There has yet to be any law passed though which protect the health of those on-screen.

Whether or not the government will get involved remains to be seen, but this issue will not go away quietly.
