H2O Audio Surge Pro Headphones
Hardware Review
Manufacturer: H2O Audio
H2O Audio has come out with a great package for iPod owners in the form of the Amphix Waterproof Armband and Surge Pro headphones combo.
The new Surge Pro headphones from H2O Audio are absolutely fantastic to say the very least, as they incorporate their patented waterproof technology.
These are high-performance headphones as they pump out some very impressive sound whether you are out for a job or swimming in the ocean.
The way in which these work is they basically withstand just about anything you can throw at them in terms of liquid.
They can be in up to 12 feet of water before they start to have any issues at all on you. We were able to test them out in a pool which was roughly 6 feet deep as well as in the ocean, again only probably 3-4 feet deep and in both circumstances they were great.
H2O Audio gives you 5 sets of earplugs so that you can purchase these knowing that you are going to end up with plugs that are both secure and comfortable.
They also supply you with 2 sets of Foam earplugs to be sure that you are satisfied no matter which activity you are taking on.
These are extremely lightweight earbud headphones that have a low profile and will really allow you to enjoy some high-quality music without having to worry about them getting to wet or banged up.
They sound great, are built to last, and make for a great way for someone to really work out and live an active lifestyle without having to worry about breaking what’s in their ears.
The Amphibx Waterproof Armband is just as impressive as this thing comes in a variety of sizes, including the size we were able to review here, ready to fit an iPod Nano.
The armband does a great job of really allowing you to take your iPod anywhere with you, as the armband is built to last and can really take a beating whether you want to bring it underwater, running in the rain, etc.
You do not have to worry about breaking your iPod as it can go in up to 12 feet of water, and has a lock on it that seals it 100% from water.
You basically hook your iPod Nano up to it through the headphone jack, lock it in the compartment, and then plug in the Surge Pro headphones and off you go.
The strap on this thing is also very adjustable meaning that it will fit any arm size, no matter how big or small, and the window allows you to use the click wheel with great ease.
H20 Audio has the ultimate package here to say the least for iPod Nano owners on the go, and even if you don’t own an iPod Nano, they also have similar products for the iPhone, iPod Shuffle, etc. These guys are the best in terms of delivering the most high-quality audio products for people with an active lifestyle, amazing stuff and well worth the money!
Final Score: 9.5
