Nokia To Release iPhone Killer Next Year

On Wednesday, Nokia Announced it is developing a mobile phone similar to the iPhone, which will be available in the near future for Nokia customers.

Boston (dBtechno) – On Wednesday, Nokia Announced it is developing a mobile phone similar to the iPhone — very similar.

The new phone which was presented at Nokia’s GoPlay, could be available as early as next year.

Although the new phone does look a lot like the new Apple iPhone, it’s really a logical progression of Nokia’s music/gaming device route, which includes the new Nokia Music Center and resurrecting the N-Gage platform.

When Nokia was asked about the striking similarity between this and the iPhone, Nokia’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Multimedia, Anssi Vanjoki, said, “If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride.”

In addition, Nokia will be launching an online music store which will again rival Apple’s iTunes. The new store will allow users to download song to to their mobile devices — something iTunes currently does not allow.
