Super Mario Galaxy Enjoys Huge Sales On Wii

Boston (dbTechno) – Super Mario Galaxy is the hottest selling video game for the top-selling Nintendo Wii console as it sold over a half-million units in week one.

Mario is the most popular video game character ever and has done it once again as he has completely redefined what a platform game is supposed to be like.

These sales are extremely impressive and show that in a market dominated by mature-rated games, games for everyone can still sell as long as they have the right character tied to them and they are just fun.

The sales of the huge holiday release for the Wii were great in the United States as more than 500,000 copies were sold in the first week it was at market.

This compares to the 360,000 units the game sold in Japan.

The game is receiving rave reviews and according to many sites which compile reviews from various sources, it is rated as the best video game of all time. Gamers have been going crazy over Super Mario Galaxy and there is no secret why once you pick up a Wiimote, Nunchuk, and take it for a spin on the Wii.
