No God of War III On PS3 Until Late 2009?

Boston (dbTechno) – Reports coming out of Sony are that the highly-anticipated God of War III, an exclusive game for the Sony PS3 console, will not release until 2009.

To better clarify that, late 2009.

The news is that God of War III will not release on the Sony PlayStation 3 for at least a few more years as they are banking on a Christmas 2009 release date for the game.

This is at the earliest barring any type of delays or anything of that nature from Sony.

This completely throws all past rumors out the window that had the game releasing this coming November as a huge holiday game for Sony and the PS3. Instead it looks like the PS3 will rely on the likes of Resistance 2, and other big name titles.

A sony spokesperson has confirmed that God of War III is in production but there is no word yet on how far along it is.

It seems that Kratos will not make his way onto the PS3 though for at least a few years.
