Hans Schlegel, the sick astronaut, also made his first spacewalk.

This comes just as NASA has extended the Atlantis’ mission by one extra day.

The mission extension is to give the crew more time to do work on the lab. Today is more like a day off though for many of the crew.

Stanley Love and others is busy getting ready for one more spacewalk on Friday to attach two science tools to the outside of Columbus. These will be experiments.

This was also one day after German Hans Schlegel completed his first spacewalk on Wednesday since being sick. He was ill and was forced to be pulled from the spacewalk last Sunday.

Atlantis will see its 13-day flight come to an end next Monday as it is scheduled to land on Earth on February 20th.

More work will continue on Columbus throughout the day as they prepare for another spacewalk on Friday.
