It is never fun to try to type in things with your PS3 controller, whether it be names of characters in games such as Call of Duty 4, created player names in Madden, etc. It is also no fun to search the web on the PS3 without the use of a keyboard. Enter, the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro, to cure all of these problems and more on your Sony PS3.
The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro uses Bluetooth technology to link up with your PS3 and as easy as anything to sync up, as the PS3 found it in about two seconds, extremely quickly.
There are some great features on the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro beyond just being a keyboard. The design of the keyboard is extremely sleek as the whole make-up of the keyboard looks nice sitting next to, or underneath your PS3. It has a great finish which matches the PS3 well.
The keyboard keys feel tremendous and sturdy. It features the standard keyboard set-up as well as specific keys for the x, circle, triangle and square buttons, as well as media playback buttons to ease the control over Blu-ray movies.
On the right side of the keyboard there is also a touchpad which works just as one does on a laptop keyboard set-up. This simulates a mouse nicely, making for extremely easy navigation, especially on web pages. The touchpad also features left and right click buttons.
Once set up, the device allows you to do a variety of things on your PS3, with much more ease. The keyboard comes in handy when you want to go on the web browser, respond to messages on the XMB, and more. The other great aspect of it is that it runs for 200 hours on two AA batteries, and a battery-indicator light will alert you when the power is going to run out.
The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard for the PS3 is a great accessory. The MSRP is set at $79.99, but you can easily find it on locations such as Amazon for less. This is a great keyboard for the PS3 which allows for easy-entering of information for accounts, text messages, web browsing, and more. If you want to get more functionality out of your PS3 and are sick of typing in things with your SIXAXIS controller, this keyboard is for you!

I picked up one of these… I love it. The only flaw is the unmapped L1,2,3 and L1,2,3 buttons as well as the select, start and ps buttons (I wished they could have just mapped them to the other F-keys that you will never use on the ps3). So you will still have to keep your controller close by if you need to zoom in/out on webpages or press “start” to save files. If you can live with that then it’s great addition to your ps3 setup.
Q. Ive bought the bluetooth keyboard from Logitech, Works fine on my PS3, but when I run Linux yellowdog on my PS3 the keyboard does not connect. Now my tought was to buy a bluetooth receiver to put in a USB slot in the PS3. Before buying the receiver I would like your oppinion and advice about my problem, Ive looked at a receiver from SWEEX, maybe you can look into it aswell.
