Boston (dbTechno) – According to reports, Microsoft is apparently getting ready to drop the price of the Xbox 360 at the end of March, placing it at a price point which will allow it to better compete with the Nintendo Wii.
The report comes from UK trade publication MCV, who stated that a solid source informed them of the impending Xbox 360 price cut.
The price cut is expected to take place on Europe first, and could also happen in the U.S. later.
The idea is to get the Xbox 360 Arcade model down to about the price of the Nintendo Wii.
There was no word if Microsoft will also cut the price of the Xbox 360 Premium, or Xbox 360 Elite models.
