NASA Delays Final Servicing Mission To Hubble

New York (dbTechno) – NASA has announced that they have been forced to delay the final servicing mission to the Hubble Space Telescope. The delay was caused by problems with the production of fuel tanks.

Following the 2003 Columbia disaster, NASA went back to the drawing board and redesigned how space shuttle fuel tanks were made.

The production of these fuel tanks has hit a delay, which has caused the mission to Hubble to be pushed back by at least one month or longer.

The launch was originally set to take place on August 28.

The expected delay will be around four to five weeks, putting the launch at the end of September or early October.

NASA shuttle program manager John Shannon stated to the press that they will miss the launch date.

The problem with this particular mission is that NASA wants to have two shuttles ready in case once cannot make it home safely. This is causing them to get two fuel tanks ready at once.
