Yahoo has signed a deal with McAfee to use its SiteAdvisor software to make searching safer and more secure for users..Boston (dbTechno) – Yahoo has signed a deal with McAfee to use its SiteAdvisor software to make searching safer and more secure for users.

The software, SiteAdvisor, will warn users when there are websites that prove to be potentially dangerous.

The new feature will show up on the Internet searches as red marks next to the links.

These marks will indicate that McAfee believes they could be harmful, possibly containing spam, malicious software, etc.

Yahoo has fully integrated this software into their search, which could prove to be very popular tool among users.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
