The likely scenario, according to sources, is that the new Metal Gear Solid game for the PSP will be unveiled at E3 this year.

The game is called Metal Gear 3: Revolver Ocelot and will take place between Metal Gear Solid 2, and MGS: Portable Ops.

It is also likely to include many CGI scenes from the original Metal Gear Solid.

More on this will be revealed as E3 nears closer.

  • I doubt your source is authentic. Portable Ops takes place about 40 years before MGS2. You guys make it sound as if Portable Ops is a sequel to MGS2 and “Metal Gear 3- Revolver Ocelot”(lame and probably false title) bridges the two. Also, the abscence of the “Solid” in the title wouldn’t make sense because it was added to the title due to the use of 3D ‘solid’ polygon technology in MGS1. So is this another 8-bit title? Come on, get your sources straight.

  • Also, it is unlikely that Kojima Productions would recycle cut-scenes from MGS1. They have never used pre-rendered footage before and I doubt they’re going to start now.
