Washington (dbTechno) – AOL is working on an AOL Radio application for the iPhone which won an Apple Design Award at the WWDC this year.
The story was first reported by the New York Times, which stated that the new AOL Radio application will allow the iPhone to link up directly with AOL servers.
It will be able to do so over the EDGE, 3G, or Wi-Fi networks.
It will also use your location found by the iPhone to get you hooked up with the proper local radio stations.
In total, users will be able to access 200 AOL and 150 CBS radio stations spanning nearly every genre.
The application and service will be free, but ad-supported.
