So what will Microsoft do? Apparently, they will cut the price.

It has been reported that Microsoft is getting ready to cut the price of the Xbox 360 Pro sku by $50 in the next few weeks, heading into the holiday shopping season.

This will put the price of the Xbox 360 Pro at a far more mainstream price point of $299.

This makes it only $50 more than the Nintendo Wii.

The last time that Microsoft cut the price of the Xbox 360 was last August when they reduced the price from $399 to $349.

This will also make their lowest model, the Xbox 360 Arcade mode, at pretty much the same price point as the Nintendo Wii.
