Google Talk Gets A Release On iPhone, iPod Touch

Washington (dbTechno) – Google has announced that they have released a new version of its Google Talk instant-messaging application for the Apple iPhone, and iPod Touch.

Google announced that this new application is going to allow iPhone and iPod Touch users to chat with friends any time they please, while on the move.

The new Google Talk application requires you to download nothing, and also does not require any type of installation.

All that you have to do is to open the browser of the iPhone or iPod Touch, and head to www.google.com/talk. Once you are there, you sign-in and start chatting.

The only drawback to the new app is that you have to have the application open on the Safari browser in order to receive messages.

When you navigate away from the Google Talk window, your status becomes unavailable.

This is yet another major tool though to help users communicate on their iPhone and iPod Touch.
