Boston (dbTechno) – A dwarf planet orbiting the sun beyond Neptube, Makemake, has been named as the newest plutoid planet.
Makemake, according to the International Astronomical Union, is a small orb which is now the newest plutoid.
This is the fourth dwarf planet and has been named in the category, it was discovered by astronomers in 2005.
Astronomers believe that the surface of Makemake is covered in frozen methane, and can be seen due to its brightness
The plutoids now consist of Pluto, Makemake, as well as a third object known as Eris. The fourth known dwarf planet is the solar system’s largest asteroid, Ceres.
