San Francisco (dbTechno) – San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom paid a visit to the San Francisco IT administrator Terry Childs in jail, getting back the network passwords to the city.
Childs has been holding the network passwords hostage ever since he changed all of them, taking control over everything.
Mayor Newsom managed to receive the new passwords on Monday night during a secret visit to the jail, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Defense attorney Erin Crane set up the meeting between Childs and the Mayor.
This came nearly 10 days after the 43-year old Terry Childs was arrested for computer tampering.
Up to this point, Childs had entered a plea of not guilty and did not cooperate, not giving back any passwords or anything of that nature.
Officials are now working to regain full access over the network, and setting up new passwords for administrators.
A hearing today is set as Childs hopes to lower his $5 million bail.
