Los Angeles (dbTechno) – Robert Alan Soloway, also known as the Spam King, has been sentenced to nearly 4 years in jail for e-mail fraud, mail fraud, and tax evasion.
Soloway was arrested last summer on the charges of mail fraud, e-mail fraud, and tax evasion.
Prosecutors state that he made hundreds of thousands of dollars with his e-mail services, which were nothing more than sending out junk e-mails.
He would use computer networks to broadcast out millions of junk e-mails on a daily basis, thus getting the name the Spam King.
He was sentenced on Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman to 3 years and 11 months in prison.
A hearing is set to be held as well to figure out how much Soloway owes in restitution.
