He stated that evidence has revealed that physical exercise is key to a “brain-healthy lifestyle.”

Two studies were set to be presented on Sunday at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease in Chicago.

The first study revealed a link between cardio-respiratory fitness, as well as brain changes related to Alzheimer’s in the hippocampus, which is key to memory, and navigating.

The second study revealed that an exercise program improved the quality of life in people with dementia, improving balance.

Overall, researchers have stated that exercise, even when not strenuous, can greatly help people with early Alzheimer’s.
