Washington (dbTechno) – Microsoft Corp. has come out and announced some new privacy tools for Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) which will allow users to browser anonymously.
This is the latest move by Microsoft to try and make web browsing far more private than ever before.
The new feature is going to appear in IE8 Beta 2, and will be called InPrivate.
So the big question is, what will this do? Well, many have already come out and stated that this is basically the “porno mode” of IE8.
It is going to allow you to suspend IE8 from saving any browsing or search history for a period of time.
This will extend to it not saving cookies, data, passwords, etc.
Beyond that, the InPrivate mode is also going to automatically clear your IE8 browser cache at the end of every session.
Mozilla Corp. is said to be trying to add this feature to a future Firefox. One is already included in the Apple Safari browser.
