Washington (dbTechno) – Yahoo Inc. co-founder and Chief Executive Jerry Yang has announced that he is going to step down after a great deal of pressure from shareholders and others within the company.
He will continue to be the CEO until the company is able to find a replacement for him.
Yahoo is already said to be interviewing candidates for the postion from the inside as well as the outside.
Tihs comes as Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer continues to ponder another possible move to try and once again takeover Yahoo.
It appears at this point though that Microsoft is no longer interested in buying Yahoo as its value has dropped further recently.
The belief is that Microsoft may instead try to enter into a partnership of sorts with Yahoo.
There is no word on how the resignation will impact Yahoo’s business, but Yang is definitely out for now.
