NASA Will Not Launch Next Mission To Mars Until 2011

NASA has announced that they have been forced to delay the launch of the next mission to Mars until 2011......Washington (dbTechno) – NASA has announced that they have been forced to delay the launch of the next mission to Mars until 2011.

The original plan was to launch the next mission to Mars in October 2009, but that is not going to happen.

They are having technical issues with the next-generation rover konwn as the Mars Science Laboratory.

The launch of October 2009 has said to be out of the question due to all of the hardware challenges they are facing.

So, in order to ensure that the mission is a success, NASA has stated that the launch of the next Mars mission will take place in 2011.

NASA stated that they want to be able to test out the flight systems fully before they launch so nothing goes wrong.

The other reason is that Earth and Mars need to be aligned properly, as they only come close every 2 years or so.

This would mean that the next opportunity for the launch of the mission to Mars would be fall 2011.
