Konami Developing Metal Gear Solid For Apple iPhone

Washington (dbTechno) – Konami has announced that a brand new Metal Gear game is on the way in the form of Metal Gear Solid Touch for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

Konami has been rumored to be working on a new Metal Gear game for quite some time now, but many expected that the game would end up being Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Xbox 360.

This is not the case, as Konami announced that Metal Gear is coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The game, Metal Gear Solid Touch, is going to release in Spring 2009 in North America, Europe, and Japan.

Characters will be placed into a world based on environments from Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Sony PS3.

The touch-screen is going to be used to directly control targeting, aiming, etc.

There will be eight stages, with more being added through downloadable content.

On top fo that, the more you play, you will also unlock wallpapers, movies, and more.

Other games set to hit the iPhone, iPod Touch from Konami include Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution, and Frogger.
