Washington (dbTechno) – Microsoft lived up to their word and issued an emergency patch for Internet Explorer on Wednesday.
The emergency patch was released to fix a critical vulnerability in the web browser.
The hole in Internet Explorer would have allowed hackers to gain full access to your computer.
The patch fixes a flaw in the data-binding function of all versions of the browser.
The patch, according to Microsoft, will work on IE5, IE6, IE7, as well as IE8 Beta 2.
This is being dubbed a critical fix and is talked about in security bulletin MS08-078.
Many are applauding Microsoft for getting the patch out so quickly to help users stay protected.
Internet Explorer continues to be the most popular web browser among users.
