Detroit (dbTechno) – Volkswagen is making quite a bit of noise at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit with their new Concept BlueSport roadster.
The Volkswagen Concept BlueSport will be a two-seat roadster which will feature a mid-mounted common rail diesel engine, lightweight chassis, and more.
The idea behind it is to find the perfect mix of an environmental efficienct vehicle, and a sports car.
It will pack a four-cylinder 2.0-litre TDI engine, going from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.6 seconds, with a top speed of 140 mph.
On top of that, it is believed that the Concept BlueSport will be able to achive pu to 65 mpg on a combined cycle.
As of right now there is no plans for production.
The feeling though is that this is what we will be seeing from the future of VW sports cars.
You could at least use a picture of the car that you are writing about….
